Hyderabad: Clinical psychologists to counsel students who failed Inter exams

Hyderabad: State Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy appealed to the parents to extend moral support and stand by their wards who have not qualified in the Intermediate Public Examinations-2020 (IPE-2020) results.

She said that the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) and the State Education Department (SED) have taken all necessary steps to ensure that the results are error-free. While releasing the results of the IPE-2020, she congratulated those who have qualified in the examination and carefully choose the courses in which they wanted to pursue their careers.

The Minister asked people who are not qualified not to get demoralised and assured to announce the schedule of the advanced supplementary of the intermediate course at the earliest. Asking all such candidates to prepare well for the advanced supplementary, she, however, asked parents to lend their support to their wards who have not qualified in the examinations. She asked them to utilise the counselling services of the psychologists made available in their colleges if they feel stress and depression on account of failure in the examinations.

The TSBIE said that apart from the counselling services made available to the students in their colleges, district level, they can also contact a panel of clinical psychologists appointed by the board.

Accordingly, students can contact for help to overcome any problem related to stress, strain, tension, anxiety, nervousness etc., Students reach out to the panel of clinical psychologists from 9 AM to 9 PM on the telephone.
