Hyderabad: CM KCR to call on RTC workers on Dec 1
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be holding a meeting with RTC workers on Sunday here at Pragati Bhavan around 12 pm.
Directing the RTC managing director to provide transport for the employees to Pragati Bhavan, the Chief Minister invited five workers including two women from each depot. All the workers from 97 depots will also provided lunch at Pragati Bhavan followed by the meeting.
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, RTC MD, EDs, RMs and DVMs of the corporation will also participate in the meeting.
The Chief Minister on Thursday asked the workers to report to duties at their respective bus depots on Friday. After a six-hour-long cabinet meeting, the CM also announced hiking the bus fare by 20 paise per km.
He also offered a job in RTC to the kin of the RTC workers who lost their lives during the strike and also announced to set up a workers' welfare council to look into their issues.
