Choutuppal Cops arrest land cheat

Hyderabad: The Choutuppal police on Monday arrested one Madhava Reddy for allegedly grabbing lands and selling it to the gullible.

According to city police, the accused person along with his accomplice Shekhar worked as realtors on commission basis.

However, as they wanted to earn more money, they started grabbing in lands and created a venture titled 'Green City' on 500 acres of land in Toopranpally.

In order to sell the land, the main accused Madhava Reddy forged documents and started selling it to the gullible at higher prices.

As soon as the misdeeds of the accused were informed to the police, the cops laid a trap, nabbed him from his residence and seized 6 fake sale deeds pertaining to 6 plots admeasuring 1600 sq yards, net cash of Rs 7 lakh and 2 cars from his possession, said the police.

However, he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The police have also urged the citizens to not believe such fraudsters while purchasing lands.
