Hyderabad: Cops rescue abducted child

Hyderabad: The Chaderghat police on Thursday rescued a boy named Sadullah who was kidnapped in the wee hours on Wednesday.

According to police, the boy was sleeping with his mother on the metro rail pavement under Malakpet bridge, when the accused Ibrahim kidnapped him. However, when the mother woke up she could not find her son, so she lodged a police complaint.

Upon receiving the complaint from the mother, the cops scanned the CCTV footage and identified the suspect who was later on traced to Talabkatta. He was arrested from his residence.

Upon further questioning, the accused confessed that he did not have any children, so he took away the boy with an intention to raise him and give him a good life.

However, the accused person was arrested under relevant sections of IPC and the boy was handed over to his mother.
