Hyderabad: Coronavirus tests at Gandhi Hospital from today

Tests for the confirmation of novel coronavirus will be conducted from today at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. The tests are conducted with the rapid diagnostic kits which were handed over by the team that came to Hyderabad to check the preparedness of the hospitals.

With these kits, the microbiologists at the hospital can conduct the test for 30 swab samples of the patients per day at the hospital. According to the reports, each swab sample test will take around 10 hours to get the result.

On Sunday, Minister for Health Eatala Rajendar held a teleconference with the senior health officials to take stock of the situation. The minister asked all the pulmonologists to work to be available round the clock until the virus crises blow over. Meanwhile, the health officials also promised to provide all the facilities to the patients who get admitted to Gandhi Hospital, Fever Hospital and Chest Hospital.

They also said that they arranged adequate stock of masks, sanitizers and other facilities in the hospitals.
