Hyderabad: BJP Telangana State chief spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao said that the political developments in Madhya Pradesh are the internal strife between the old and young generation of leaders within the Congress and BJP has nothing to do with it.

In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that the current mess within the ruling Congress party in Madhya Pradesh is its own making.

It is evident from the developments unfolding that the Congress MLAs are vertically split between the groups of MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Congress senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia.

"There's a good possibility that the gap might even widen further, and BJP is certainly keeping a close watch on the events unfolding in the state," he added.

Rao said BJP believes that what's happening in Madhya Pradesh is the symptom of a larger disease that Congress party is currently suffering across the nation - 'headlessness'.

The Congress has no one else to blame but itself for the situation that they are in Madhya Pradesh, he said.
