Hyderabad: Daily wagers stare at hunger
Hyderabad: Ambedkar Party demanded that the State government help all those who lost livelihood owing to Coronavirus. The party president Srinivas Bahadur and Telangana Loksatta Party president Mannaram Nagaraju, were speaking to media here at the party office on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, they welcomed the preventive measures taken by the State government to control the spread of the virus. They said that several daily labourers, employees working at pubs, clubs and other small enterprises have lost their employment due to the virus. Most of them were facing dire financial situation and were not in the position to pay their rents, they said. They urged the State government to provide immediate financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per family to help them. They urged the government to provide hand sanitisers and masks freely at ration shops along with essential food items.
Among those who were present were building workers association leaders Sanjeeva Rao, BSF state secretary Kompally Raju, Ambedkar party state leader Devaraju and others.
