Hyderabad: Demand for SC/ST candidate as VC in Osmania University

OU: South India Political JAC chairman Prof Gali Vinod Kumar, who is OU SC/ST Cell Director, has demanded appointment of a SC or ST candidate as the Vice-Chancellor of OU. Addressing a meeting of the 19th OU SC/ST Cell Advisory Committee, he said he would meet Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan to press the demand. He also demanded celebration of Sant Sevalal's 281st jayanti on February 15, filling of SC/ST backlog posts etc., he added Principal Dr Vijkayalakshmi, Dr Redya Naik, Dr Apka Nageswar Rao, Deepak Kumar, Boya Kumar, Vinod Kumar and Shankarayy were present .
