Hyderabad: Denied promotion, nurse attempts suicide at NIMS

Alleging that the NIMS officials have done injustice to her in granting promotion, a nurse working at Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences slit her throat and wrist on Thursday in the hospital.

However, the other nurses alerted with her suicide attempt and shifted to the emergency unit. The NIMS staff said that doctors are attending the nurse Nirmala and a few surgeries are also being done. Further details about the incident are awaited.
