Hyderabad: DGP Mahender Reddy comes to the rescue of woman constable

Hyderabad: The Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana, Mahender Reddy, on Friday issued a cheque of Rs 9 lakh to a woman constable, D Shilpa (24).

According to an official note, it is known that the woman constable working in CCRB, Cyberabad police was diagnosed with Pulmonary Endarterectomy and was being treated at a hospital in Bengaluru.

As she did not have sufficient funds to arrange for her medical treatment, the officer took the initiative and issued the cheque via Cyberabad Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar.

The Commissioner handed over the cheque to Shilpa's sister.
