The Dhoolpet area came under scanner after 16 of a family tested positive, after they organised an engagement ceremony on May 11. One of the family members died while he was being shifted to the Gandhi Hospital. The spurt of positive cases has led to fear among the residents in Dhoolpet area.
The fear further increased in the area as 32-year-old Ayurvedic medicine supplier was tested positive in the locality. Sources said that the medicine supplier from Balram Gali in Dhoolpet along with his friend from Jiyaguda (which is also a corona hotspot area) had recently visited a 'Gurukul' in Shamshabad and brought some medicines. The medicine supplier felt uneasiness after his return from the Gurukul. He was taken to King Koti Hospital where he tested corona positive.
