Hyderabad: District Collector Vasam Venkateswarlu conducts surprise inspections
• Advises municipal staff to identify problems ward-wise and address them
• Asks them to ensure areas are kept clean & locate water shortage areas
• Calls for protecting full tank levels of water bodies, orders 100% tax collection
Nizampet: Medchal District Collector Vasam Venkateswarlu on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection in Nizampet municipal corporation areas, including sanitation work in V ward, and the Ambar Cheruvu beautification works in VI ward.
The Collector inspected government lands in 33rd ward and directed the tahsildar to examine if they were suitable for locating a market yard and municipal office. Later, he convened a meeting in the municipal office.
Addressing the meeting, he advised the staff to identify problems ward-wise, keep areas clean and green, and locate the wards suffering from water shortage. He stressed the need for protecting FTL of water bodies and issued orders for collecting 100 per cent taxes.
Venkateswaralu wanted the staff to identify government lands for taking up development works like construction of parks, nurseries, markets, dump yards, burial grounds.
Those present at the meeting included Mayor Neela Gopal Reddy, Deputy Mayor Dhanraj Yadav, Municipal Commissioner Gopinath, Tahsildar Nirmala, and HMDW officer Subbarayudu.
