Hyderabad doctors hold conference as dengue cases spike

As dengue cases rose in the city, the city doctors held a round table conference on Thursday on 'how to defeat the fever'. However, a decision has been taken to bring awareness to the public on mosquito breeding and the use of rapid diagnosis.
The fever occurs in sub-tropical and tropical climate which is ideal for the dengue mosquitos to breed. The symptoms of the dengue are high fever accompanied by nausea, vomiting, rashes and pain in joints, muscles and eyes.
Karuna Gopal, president of the conference said that the city needs 450 km of storm water drains which helps the water getting drained properly. She also said the recommendations given in the conference have to be submitted to the governor.
