Hyderabad: Doctors infection tally touches 50, as TS reports 127 new cases, 6 deaths

Hyderabad: As many as six deaths and 127 new corona cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 3147 in the State on Thursday. As usual GHMC accounted for 110 cases out of the total 127 cases. Also, the count of doctors getting Covid infection increasing with each day and the total almost reached 50.

One professor and four cardiology residents from NIMS tested positive on Thursday. Samples of some 50 healthcare workers from NIMS have been sent for testing. Two Assistant Professors and one intern in Petlaburj hospital were found to be infected. One senior resident from Gandhi Medical College, 1 MDS PG and intern from OMC also got the infection.

Meanwhile, Gandhi hospital refuted BJP MLA Raja Singh's allegations of medical negligence led to the death of a pregnant infected woman few days ago. Meanwhile,350 beds from TIMS, Gachibowli are being shifted to Gandhi hospital to keep them on standby as the hospital is being flooded with infected cases from last few days.
