Hyderabad: Drug inspector caught by ACB

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a drug inspector Lakshmi on Saturday who was caught red-handed while taking a bribe at her office in Secunderabad.

Lakshmi demanded Rs 1.20 lakh worth gold chain from a blood bank CEO for giving the report in favour of it. However, the ACB laid a trap and caught her while taking the gold chain.

The drug inspector is said to have taken Rs 50 lakh earlier in a similar case. She was taken into custody and will be produced before the court.

On October 10, a chief engineer working at Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) was arrested for demanding Rs 10 lakh bribe.
