Hyderabad: Ex-CRPF men to be trained para sports

The Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF) trains Divyaangans from across the nation

Hyderabad: The Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF) will train CRPF jawans and others who lost their limbs in para-sports. A MoU between CRPF and Aditya Mehta Foundation for CRPF Divyang Warriors Skill Development Initiative here on Friday at the AMF's Infinity Para Sports Academy and Rehabilitation Centre.

AMF aids people with disabilities to pursue sports while providing self-sustenance. It launched the 1st of its kind Para-Sports Rehabilitation and Training Academy in Asia recently, which was inaugurated by SK Joshi, the then Chief Secretary, Govt of Telangana.

The foundation trains Divyaangans from across the nation including CAPF and civilians, from basic level in 28 para-sports at the Academy.

Dr A P Maheshwari, DG, CRPF, Southern Sector CRPF, Hyderabad, Aditya Mehta, the founder of AMF, trustees of AMF, Shobu Yarlagadda, a producer of 'Bahubali', K Durga Prasad, Chief Advisor, AP government, Shailendra Kumar Joshi, Advisor, Telangana Government, MR Naik, IG-CRPF, and Sanjay Arora, ADG, Southern Sector, CRPF, were present during the signing of an MoU.
