Hyderabad: Fire breaks out at chemical godown in Dhulapally

A major fire erupted from Krishna Industries Chemical godown at Dhulapally under Petbasheerabad police station limits here on Friday.

According to recent reports coming in, it is believed that two persons sustained serious injuries. A total of eight workers were present in the godown when the mishap occurred. The fire led to chaos among the local people who suffocated with the foul smell emanating from the godown.

The fire is learned to have occurred after the chemicals preserved in the drums exploded. Locals alerted the police and the fire brigade who rushed the spot. The firefighters doused the fire and the police shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.

On Thursday, a fire broke out from a chemical godown in Jeedimetla and is believed to have occurred due to a short circuit. No casualties were reported in the incident.
