Hyderabad: Fire breaks out at fruit market in SR Nagar, 4 shops gutted

A major fire broke out at a fruit market in front of Raithu Bazar at Erragadda under SR police station limits in the wee hours on Friday.

The fire erupted in a fruit shop that was later spread to three shops. All the shops were completely gutted. However, no casualties have been reported. Locals doused the fire and alerted the police who reached the spot and inspected the area. The reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained.

On October 27, a major fire engulfed a tyre godown near Sushma theatre here in the city around 5 pm. People residing in the nearby areas were asked to vacate the place temporarily till the flames were brought under control.

As the tyres were of heavy-duty rubber, it took time to put out the fire at the godown
