Hyderabad: Four more gates of Himayat Sagar lifted

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) on Tuesday opened four more gates of Himayat Sagar, to release 4,200 cusecs of water to the downstream. The current inflows of the project is 4,200 cusecs.

At present, the water level of the project is 1,763.50 feet as against the total water level 1,63.50 feet. The current water storage is 2.97 tmc.

On the other hand, the officials also lifted two gates of Osman Sagar on Tuesday for about three feet releasing 2,000 cusecs of water to downstream. The current inflow of the project is 2,000 cusecs. On Monday, two gates of the project were lifted for about two-feet. At present, the water level of the project is 1,790 feet as against the total water-level 1,790 feet.
