Free transport for migrants arranged

Hyderabad: Several labourers left for their native places and a few have even come back after finding no employment back in their places. But there are still many who are stranded in the city and wish to leave the city. The city police and some NGOs are providing transportation facility to these stranded migrants to reach their homes. The DCP control room receives about 50 calls a day for help. Shelters to these migrants have been provided at various function halls in Medchal.

Speaking to The Hans India, Ajay Singh Rajput of Lead Life Foundation said, " We distributed dry ration kits to 66,779 people. Around 137 buses have been deployed to help migrant labourers to reach their native places in Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. More than 3,500 migrants have been benefitted so far. Our initiative is being supported by SBI, Akshaya Patra and Youngistan."
