Hyderabad: Gandhi hospital doctors perform delivery on Covid-19 infected woman

Hyderabad: Gandhi hospital doctors are in the news once again after performing a successful delivery on a Covid-19 infected pregnant woman. Five days ago a similar operation was performed by Gandhi doctors.

This was the sixth pregnancy for the 30-year old woman from Bahadurpura. While four times she had a normal delivery the fifth was an abortion.

The woman had health complications so team of doctors led by Dr Sharmila and Dr Rani took it up as a challenge. Though doctors tried normal delivery procedure initially, they had to conduct C-Section resulting in a birth of a baby weighing 3 kg. Both mother and the baby were in healthy condition. The woman tested positive on May 10 and was admitted in the hospital.Meanwhile, Health Minister Eatala Rajender congratulated the Gandhi doctors as this was second such delivery in the hospital in less than a week.
