Hyderabad: GHMC head office reports second coronavirus positive case

GHMC head office in Hyderabad has reported second coronavirus positive case in less than a week after an attender working at Mayor Bonthu Rammohan's office infected with the coronavirus. The patient was shifted to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the Mayor's chamber was closed for sanitization.

On Monday, an employee working on the fourth floor of the GHMC head office tested positive for coronavirus. All the employees working on the floor were sent home to sanitize the floor.

On the other hand, a central team from New Delhi has visited Hyderabad to take up measures to control the virus spread in GHMC limits. The three-member team consisting of Sanjay Jaju, joint secretary, Central government, central team members Vikas Gade and Dr Ravinder held a meeting with GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar.

The team inquired about the measures being taken up to contain the virus and the prevailing situation in zone, ward and circle wise of GHMC limits.
