Hyderabad: GHMC officials gear up to allay Corona fears in Santoshnagar
Santoshnagar: With the objective of dispelling apprehensions about the Novel Coronavirus, the GHMC officials have launched an awareness campaign. Under different circles, officials were seen distributing pamplets and explaining to the way the virus spreads and its symptoms. They are also holding meetings in colonies.
GHMC Deputy Commissioner K Alivelu Mangathayaru on Thursday held an awareness meeting on Coronavirus with Asha workers, Anganwadi teachers, members of self-help groups, circle-level staff at her office. Later, she along with staff distributed pamphlets amongst the workers, who were asked to hand over to general public as part of awareness drive. The pamphlets explain about the precautions and prevention to be followed to avert getting into contact with virus.
In Falaknumar Circle, GHMC Deputy Commissioner D Jagan oversaw the drive of fixing of QR code at localities including Bahadurpura housing board colony in Kishanbagh division along with the health and sanitary staff. The QR code helps the sanitation workers in collecting garbage from door-to-door.
