Hyderabad: GHMC shuts down more establishments

Hyderabad: The GHMC Enforcement, Vigilance and Disaster Management (EVDM) team on Thursday closed several establishments which were running in violation of government advisory to avoid gathering of people in view of fast-spreading coronavirus.

The Mayor had said on Wednesday that marriages were allowed upto March 31, that too with limited persons. And appealed to drop /cancel any events relating to schools, celebrations etc. If anyone fails to comply with the government orders, criminal cases will booked against them, he warned.

As many as 18 enforcement teams have been pressed into action to ensure no public gathering event takes place. Apart from this already 150 teams comprises from health, GHMC, police and revenue departments are tracking to find out the persons who came from foreign countries from the past 15 to 20 days.
