As per the transition process, all the mini suction-cum-jetting machines of the 66 wards in the peripheral municipalities including Rajendranagar shall be handed over by February 29 along with the air-tech machines to HMWS&SB.

With the transition of responsibility, the people of Rajendranagar hope the provision and maintenance of sewerage would now become a hassle-free process as several areas were lagging behind the facility. "This is really a welcome move by the government as the GHMC is not competent enough to deal with sewerage issues here. Several colonies especially Shastripuram, which is the oldest HUDA approved residential colony here in Rajendranagar, has been deprived of with the sewerage facility since inception," said Syed Shoukat Ali, a resident of Shasripuram Colony.
