Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan advised women be bold, move ahead with courage, exhorts

Koti: Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday advised women to move ahead with self-confidence to fulfil their dreams. She was speaking at a programme held to mark the International Women's Day at Koti Women's College on Friday. Metropolitan judge Sunitha, college principal Radha Rani, noted fitness trainer Dinaz, Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and others participated in the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor extended International Women's Day greetings and hoped that students spend their every second in their lives happily. Stressing the importance of being confident, the Governor advised women to face the adverse situations with courage and confidence. She advised women not to take any hasty decisions that they would repent later and keep their friendships in limits. She advised students to learn martial arts for their self-defense and give eve-teasers 'left and right' when they harass them. She suggested students to share their ideas on career with their teachers and parents. She congratulated Lake Police station Inspector Dhana Lakshmi for saving about 200 women from committing suicides.

Anjani Kumar said that the police department had been striving to provide utmost safety to women. As part of efforts, the department had constituted She Teams, Bharosa centres and constantly monitoring to prevent crime against women. Later, the Governor felicitated women who have excelled in various fields on the occasion.
