Hyderabad: Gradual rise in temperatures

Hyderabad: The night temperatures during the last 24 hours, ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday registered an appreciable rise ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius. The Met department bulletin said the temperatures were appreciably above normal by 3.1 to 5 deg C and above normal by 1.6 to 3 deg C.

The figures listed in the bulletin show a gradual increase in both the night and day temperatures. The rise gave hints of sultry weather during the day. The lowest minimum temperature of 16.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nalgonda. The other night temperatures registered in the State were: Adilabad (17.2), Medak (18.2), Hakimpet (18.7), Dundigal (18.8), Hyderabad (19.4), Khammam (19.6), Hanamkonda (20.1), Mahbubnagar (20.5), Nizamabad (21.3), Ramagundam (21.40 and Bhadrachalam (22.5).

The day temperatures registered across the State were: Bhadrachalam, Medak (32.6) deg C each, Khammam (31.2), Nizamabad & Mahbubnagar (32.1) each, Hyderabad (30.7), Ramagundam (30.6), Nalgonda (30.4), Hakimpet (29.2), Dundigal (29.1), Hanamkonda (29) and Adilabad (28.8). Meanwhile, the forecast said dry weather is very likely to prevail over Telangana from February 5 to 7. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely on February 8 at isolated places.
