Hyderabad: Health Visitor Council Vidhyavathi says Sphere of nursing care extending to new fields

Banjara Hills: Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute organised a one-day nursing conference on Sunday on its premises with an objective to promote excellence in nursing in the field of oncology.

The conference was attended by nursing staff working in various hospitals in Telangana. Speaking on the occasion, Vidhyavathi, the Registrar of TS Nurses and Midwives, ANM and Health Visitor Council, Telangana State, explained that sphere of nursing care is getting expanded into new horizons day by day. She asked the nurses attending the conference to motivate patients positively thus enabling them to fight with disease bravely.

Vidyavathi also urged the nursing community to enhance their skills on regular basis thus enabling them to understand and equip to deal with latest technologies and machinery being introduced into their domain. The dignitaries unveiled a souvenir of the conference. The conference dwelled upon role of nurses in Onco Care, handling nursing emergencies, role of nurses in pain management, importance of communications with patients, ethical issues in Oncology Nursing among latest technical advantages in Onco Nursing Care.

B Vidyavathi, Registrar, TS Nurses and Midwives, ANM and Health Visitor Council, Telangana State, was the chief guest and Rajeshwari, (TNAI), Veena Thorat, OR Manager, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai were the guest of honour, along with Dr RV Prabhakar Rao, CEO, BIACH&RI.
