Hyderabad: Heavy rush at Secunderabad railway station as trains services resume

Heavy rush has been witnessed at Secunderabad railway station in Hyderabad following the resumption of train services from today.
Heavy rush has been witnessed at Secunderabad railway station in Hyderabad following the resumption of train services from today. Passengers thronged to the railway station 90-120 minutes before the departing time on the directions of the railway authorities.

The train services resumed in the state with the departure of Telangana express (Hyderabad-New Delhi) today morning at Nampally railway station in Hyderabad. In the first phase, Telangana, Hussain Sagar, Falaknuma, Godavari, Rayalaseema, Dhanapur, Golconda, Sachkonda express train services were resumed.

Markings were made denoting the physical distancing and the passengers will be allowed to board the train upon confirming no health issues after the medical tests.

The railway officials said that they have arranged three PPE kits in each train for suspected coronavirus patients. Currently, the tickets are being given on regular charges while the tatkal bookings will begin from June 29.

Hotels and other stores have been opened at Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway stations. At present, food parcels will be given to the passengers as no dine is permitted in the hotels.
