Hyderabad: JBS-MGBS metro route to open by September
After the inauguration of Ameerpet-Hitec City stretch, the metro officials planning to open the Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) stretch by September. The metro works are going at a brisk pace on the route.
The stretch which is a part of corridor II from JBS to Falaknuma consists of eight stations. Currently, the roof works are on progress and the metro officials are planning to complete the civil works by June.
The 10-km stretch between JBS and MGBS will reduce the traffic further and the officials has expecting heavy footfall on the line. Meanwhile, the metro from MGBS to Falaknuma is yet to begin as the process of land acquisition is almost completed.
The metro operations between Ameerpet and Hitec City was commenced last month.
