Hyderabad: K Keshava Rao & Ponguleti likely for Rajya Sabha

Hyderabad: TRS has reportedly finalised the names of Parliamentary party leader K Keshava Rao and former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy for the two Rajya Sabha posts from Telangana.

The biennial election for two MPs is scheduled to be held on March 26.

According to sources, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to give another term to Keshava Rao. The name of former Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was also finalised and the announcement regarding this would be made on Wednesday.

Sources said that the Chief Minister has asked both the leaders to get ready with their nomination papers. The two seats are getting vacant from Telangana and both would be going to TRS by virtue of its strength.

Sources also said that the party has finalised the name of former speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly KR Suresh Reddy for the Council seat to be elected from Nizamabad Local Authorities Constituency.
