Hyderabad: Kalyana-Shaadi cheques distributed by MLA Arekapudi Gandhi

Serilingampally: Local MLA and Government Whip Arekapudi Gandhi on Thursday gave away cheques to beneficiaries of the 'Kalyana Lakshmi' and 'Shaadi Mubarak' assistance provided by the State. Addressing the beneficiaries, Gandhi described 'KL' and 'SM' assistance for Rs 1,00,116 as a boon to the poor. He explained the welfare schemes being implemented by the government for people's welfare like various categories of pensions, water supply to every house under the Mission Bhageerath, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, aid to disabled, Mission Kakatiya, 2-BHK houses, Amma Odi, KCR Kit, Arogyasri scheme, Kanti Velugu, Chenata Lakshmi, Telangana HarithaHaram and T-Hub.

The legislator pointed out that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is striving to develop Hyderabad as a world class city, even while taking up welfare schemes for the poor. He said the government was working with the objective of rendering equal justice to all sections of people, financial stability and self-respect.

Among those present on the occasion were Revenue official Shanmuka, Corporators Dodla Venkatesh Goud, Jupalli Satyanarayana, Lakshmi Bai, former councilor Raghavender Rao, Miyapur TRS division president U Srikanth, Hydernagar division chief N Srinivas Rao, Serilingampally division head Raju Yadav, Madhapur division head E Srinivas Yadav, Allwyn Colony president J Ganesh, party leaders N Chandrakanth Rao, Karthik Rao, B Srinu, A Mahesh, Sudheer Reddy, Rajesh Chandra, Kashinath Yadav, Shivraj Goud, Munna, Shoukath Ali, Lakshmi Kumari and K Prasad.
