Hyderabad: Kondapur area hospital superintendent tests positive for coronavirus
Hyderabad: People residing in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Limits (GHMC) are falling prey to the coronavirus. At the latest, the superintendent of the Kondapur area hospital tested positive for coronavirus. He is said to have been suffering from high fever for the last three days.
After being tested positive, he was admitted to the isolation ward in the same hospital. The healthcare officials launched efforts to trace the primary contacts of the superintendent. Rangareddy health department will conduct tests on all the staff working in the hospital.
On the other hand, a data entry operator working at the corona testing centre, Osmania Medical College has tested positive for coronavirus. Following this, the testing has been shut down and will be reopened on Sunday. The tests will be resumed in the lab from Monday, said the college principal Shashikala. She also clarified that the staff working in the testing centre have got tested and all the reports were turned negative.
On Thursday, the state reported 209 coronavirus cases that include 175 in GHMC limits followed by Medchal (10), Rangareddy (7), Warangal Urban (2), Mahbubnagar (3), Asifabad (2), Siddipet (2), Karimnagar (3), Mulugu (1), Kamareddy (1), Warangal rural (1) and Sircilla (1).
