Hyderabad: Minister of IT K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials to speed up the ongoing developmental works in the Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency.

KTR conducted a review meeting along with the Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, MP Asaduddin Owaisi, MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, Dy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, GHMC officials and instructed them to expedite works taken up under SRDP i.e., flyovers, underpass, foot over bridges, road widening, junction improvement and beautification, water supply pipelines, development of sport complexes, parks, public toilets, nala widening and other infrastructure facilities.

On the road-widening works, KTR asked officials to co-ordinate with the railway authorities and other departments to sort out issues and complete the works without any delay. He also asked them to prepare proposals for laying 4-lane road on either side of Musi River, and draft proposals for laying VDCC roads. To speed up the land acquisition process for the 20 road-widening works, KTR told officials to post a special officer for this purpose.

Further, the MAUD Minister asked the HMWS&SB officials to repair water leakages and replace damaged pipelines with new ones for better water supply and to ensure that there was no shortage of water supply in summer. He informed that Rs 200 crore were sanctioned for the purpose of nala widening, and also to replace old sewerage pipes lines.

The Minister directed the officials to take up public toilets, SHE toilets in the open places and facilitate open gyms in parks, to develop integrated market complex as built in Gajwel in areas of more than half acre.

EVDM Director Viswajit Kampati, ENC Sreedhar, Chief Engineers Zia uddin, Vasantha, CCP Devender, Zonal Commissioners Ms Pravinya, Ashok Samrat, Addl.Commissioner Krishna, OSD Housing Suresh, S E Venkatramana, Lakes SE Murali Krishna and others participated in the meeting.
