Land pooling drive by HMDA just got more attractive

HMDA will take all the permissions for the construction of houses on behalf of landowners. It would bear all charges including registration, tap connection and land usage charges. Landowners would be sanctioned plots within six months of the layout draft approval

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government has come up with new regulations for land pooling project. Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MUAD) Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar released the Government Order no. 83 on Friday, which seeks to fulfil the dream of middle-class families of owning a dream. Following the issue of a new GO, the landowners will get 60 per cent of the developed land as compensation, which was 50 per cent earlier.

HMDA will take all the permissions for the construction of houses on behalf of landowners. It would bear all charges including registration, tap connection and land usage charges. Landowners would be sanctioned plots within six months of the HMDA layout draft approval. The landowners would be free to sell plots sanctioned to them. There are about 500 land pooling projects in progress.
