Hyderabad: Make Chalo Assembly rally successful: United Teachers Federation
Patancheru: The Telangana State UTF (United Teachers Federation) secretary Lakshma Reddy on Tuesday called for making the 'Chalo Assembly' rally on March 13, which is being conducted to demand Pay Revision Commission (PRC), a grand success.
Releasing a poster on the protest programme, he accused the TRS that after the formation of the State it was neglecting people's welfare and functioning with the sole motive of staying in power and suppressing right to question.
He pointed out that the 3.5 lakh employees, 2.5 lakh pensioners and 1.5 lakh contract staff were playing a critical role in State's development and implementation of welfare schemes. Hence, it was the government's responsibility to enable the employees to lead a honourable life. But, he noted, the government was not honouring its assurance given on June 2, 2018 to give PRC from August 15 that year.
Reddy demanded immediate implementation of PRC from 2018 and scrapping of CCS, after restoring the old pension scheme. Among those present were the TPTU State secretary, STU district president, TSUTF district general secretary and leaders of various associations.
