Hyderabad metro achieves new feat in patronage

Hyderabad Metro Rail on Wednesday achieved the new feat with 3.06 lakh passengers taking the metro ride in a single day while the metro stations witnessed 3.23 lakh footfall.

The reversal works at the Hitec City have been completed and the normal train working between Jubilee Hills check post and Hitec City will be introduced in the next few days after obtaining safety clearances, a release said.

The frequency of the trains will also be increased to 3 to 5 minutes during peak hours by introducing more trains, the release added. Meanwhile, the trial runs between Hitec City and Raidurg (Mindspace junction) will begin soon, it said.
