The civil and the works related to signalling, overhead cabling, electrical and telecommunication have been completed at all the 10 stations on the stretch, said the HMRL officials adding that the works on roofs at stations will be completed by November-end and the stretch will become operational from December.

The JBS-MBGS route falls under corridor 2 which has a total distance of 15 km. With the launch of 9.6 km of the metro stretch in next month, the corridor 2 will be completed. A skywalk is also being constructed linking the metro station to the Parade Grounds station which is a part of corridor 3.

With five floors, the JBS interchange station will become the city's highest metro station.
