Hyderabad: Minister Malla Reddy takes part in Pattana Pragathi drive-in Kompally

The minister said that state government has initiated the programme to keep urban areas clean and green and resolve various local issues such as electricity and sanitation. He urged people to ensure that every ward is kept clean and beautiful.

Kompally: Telangana Labour Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy, along with District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarulu, participated in various programs as part of 'Pattana Pragathi' held in the limits of Kompally municipality on Sunday. The minister laid foundation stone to public toilets built with cost of Rs 10 lakh and a park development works with an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh as part of the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that state government had initiated the programme to keep urban areas clean and green and resolve various local issues such as electricity and sanitation. He urged people to ensure that every ward is kept clean and beautiful. Later, he inaugurated five developmental works in Dundigal municipal limits with an estimated cost of Rs 96 lakh.

Civic office inspected

Collector Vasam Venkateshwarulu made sudden visit to Dundigal municipal office and inspected the office and a nursery on Sunday. At a meeting held with municipal officials, the collector instructed them to ensure 100 per cent collection of trade license fees, property taxes and other revenues collected from business establishments under the municipal limits. He ordered officials to place sign boards at each colony. He instructed officials to establish dumping yards, burial grounds, integrated markets and open gyms after identifying vacant government lands. He warned that necessary legal action would be taken against encroachers of government lands. To save electricity costs, officials were advised to install LED lights. He also explained measures to be taken to protect saplings planted as part of Haritha Haram program. Measures to prevent water scarcity in the upcoming summer season was also emphasized.

Qutbullapur MLA Vivekananda, additional collector John Samson, Kompally municipal chairman Srisailam Yadav, Dundigal municipal chairman Krishnaveni Krishna, municipal commissioner Jyothi, Suresh, tahasildar Bhoopal, councilors, people's representatives and others participated in the program.
