Hyderabad: Newlywed techie found dead

Hyderabad: A newly married woman techie was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her rented flat in Borabanda under Sanathnagar police station limits on Tuesday. The deceased identified as A Poornima.

According to police, she got married to her boyfriend D Karthik on November 25, with who she was in friendship for more than a year after fell in love with him. She hails from Gudivada, Krishna district, in Andhra Pradesh and was working for a multinational company in Hyderabad. Karthik, who was employed by a private firm, had married Poornima despite strong opposition from her family members. On Tuesday, he found her hanging in the house.

On receipt of information, police rushed to the spot and recovered a suicide note. By registering a suspicious death case, police shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem and took up the investigation. According to sources, they are enquiring Karthik and seeking information on the suspicious death.

Meanwhile Poornima's parents alleged that she was killed by Karthik and he was projecting it as a suicide. Demanding stringent action against him, they staged a protest in front of the police station on Wednesday morning due to which heavy traffic jam occurred for some time on the Erragadda-Sanathnagar road.
