Hyderabad: NHRC team completes inquiry into Chatanpally encounter

Hyderabad: According to sources, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) team which has conducted a detailed inquiry on the Chatanpally encounter under Shadnagar police station limits has completed their task and reportedly left for Delhi on Wednesday. Sources reveal that police officials submitted a detailed report to the team and the panel members further sought clarifications from them.

The team consisting of seven members reached Hyderabad and conducted an inquiry for five days during which they collected information from the family members of the four suspects, who were shot dead on December 6, version of Disha's family members, a report from Shamshabad and Shadnagar police, police personnel involved in the alleged encounter and two cops injured by the suspects.

They have also inquired with the revenue officials, doctors and forensic experts of Gandhi Hospital and Mahbubnagar government hospital and sought clarifications from them and prepared a detailed report.
