Hyderabad: Nomination process for GHMC election ends

GHMC election 2020 Nomination process: Filing of nominations for ensuing GHMC election has been concluded. Officials said that over 600 nominations have been filed today as it was the last day. All the zonal commissioner offices in Greater Hyderabad has witnessed huge rush in the view of the last day of the nomination process.

Until Thursday, around 537 candidates have filed 597 nominations. The officials that over 1000 nominations have filed in the last three days. All the nominations for GHMC elections will be scrutinized tomorrow and the election commission would announce the number of valid and invalid nominations.

Candidates can withdraw them by 3 pm on November 22. Several candidates are said to have been filed nominations for two times and they would withdraw one of them on November 22.

After the withdrawal process, the election commission would likely to announce the final list of candidates contesting in the GHMC elections from all the parties. Meanwhile, the time period for giving away pharm A has been concluded and for pharm B, it would end tomorrow at 3 pm.
