Hyderabad: Not all are screened at Gandhi Hospital

After the confirmation of the second corona virus case in the city on Wednesday, many IT employees with mild fever and cough rushed to Gandhi Hospital but had to return disappointed when the staff denied to screen them stating that they did not have travel history.

Dilbaug Shaikh, an IT employee from Cognizant and a resident of Moula Ali said, "Doctors did not conduct screening as there is no travel history but it is no guarantee that she is safe."

Tejasvini, who is pursuing MBA in Italy, came to Hyderabad on March 1, and on the suggestion of relatives and neighbours visited Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday.

"The doctors said they won't run tests unless there are symptoms as I had no signs of fever or cough.

But my parents are still very concerned, and we will visit a private facility for assistance," she added.
