Hyderabad: Officials on high alert, keep watch over public at Patancheru
Patancheru: Local Tahsildar Mahipal Reddy, CI Naresh and GHMC Deputy Commissioner Balayya on Monday advised people to be on guard against Coronavirus and said all industries except pharma units and kirana stores, should be closed.
They told the media in the Tahsildar's office that 37 persons who had travelled abroad have been identified and ordered them to be under quarantine. These persons have been told to confine themselves to special rooms in their houses. An official would visit them once every two hours to review their status, they stated, adding that those who found flouting rules would be sent to Gandhi Hospital quarantine wards.
The officials advised shops selling essential items to display the prices and not to inflate MRP by citing shortage of items.
They urged people to actively take part in the lockdown and remain in their houses, with a warning that autos violating the order would be seized and won't be released.
The officials also advised people to maintain three feet distance to avoid contact with others and getting infected with the virus. They appealed to them to be united in thwarting the spread of the virus.
