Hyderabad: On credible information, the South zone Task Force team with the assistance of Pahadishareef police on Tuesday unravelled the mystery behind three- year-old murder case and nabbed two accused persons who had committed the murder.

The accused were identified as Abdul Khavi (33) and Shaik Saalam(30). According to sleuths, Shaik Waheed got married to one Sultana Begum in 2007 and the couple were blessed with a daughter and a son.

Later he was addicted to liquor and he used to beat his wife and children on petty issues. He also had the habit of going away for months without informing his family members.

During that period Waheed's wife Sultana discussed her plight, financial situation and harassment of her husband with her brother Abdul Khavi and her sister's husband Shaik Saalam. They tried to counsel him but in vain. So they decided to eliminate Waheed.

To execute their plan, about three years ago on August 12, 2016, the accused Abdul Khavi and Shaik Saalam went to Waheed's house and invited him to consume liquor.

The trio travelled towards Mamidipally village in an auto, and in between the accused purchased petrol.

After reaching the outskirts of Mamidipally village, they took the deceased to a secluded place on the pretext of consuming liquor and hit him over the head with a stick and later strangulated him.

After confirming his death they poured petrol on the dead body and burned it. They took every precaution that the matter did not get leaked anywhere even in their family circle including the deceased's wife Sultana.

Waheed's death was reported as unidentified person's death and a case was registered under sections 302 and 201 IPC at Pahadishareef police station on August 13, 2016.

On reliable information, the accused were nabbed by the sleuths on Tuesday.
