Hyderabad: Post Telangana professor as JNTU engineering college principal: Students

JNTU: Leaders of student organisations in JNTU-H on Thursday demanded that a professor from Telangana be appointed as the JNTU engineering college principal. Their demand comes in the wake of the principal post falling vacant on January 31.

The student leaders submitted a representation listing the demand to the university in-charge Registrar Govardhan. Speaking later, the leaders stated that the post should be allocated to a Telangana professor based on social groups and castes. Among those present on the occasion were SFI Medchal-Malkajgiri district president Sai Kiran, JAC leaders Renikuntla Sandeep, Naga Chandu, NSUI leaders Mahesh Naidu and Banjara Vidyarti Sangham working president Patlavath Raju Naik.
