Hyderabad: Principal, 3 teachers held for writing inter exams for students
The Golconda police on Wednesday arrested a principal and three teachers after they were caught red-handed while writing intermediate exams of eight students.
A team that formed to catch the malpractice cases raided the exam centre and caught principal Shoib Tanveer and teachers Shabha, Shahida Shareen and Syed Kaleemuddin red-handed.
The police also registered cases on eight students and arrested four of them. Out of the four, two students who are minors have been handed over to their parents and the two others are at large.
According to the District Intermediate Education Officer (DIEO), the principal entered into an agreement with the eight students for a certain amount and was writing the exams on behalf of the students. The TSBIE officers filed a case against the principal and the students.
A show-cause notice has been issued to the New Madina College by the TSBIE commissioner Syed Omar Jaleel and further asked to respond to the notice within three days.
