Hyderabad: Private hospitals reps to meet Eatala Rajender today
Hyderabad: The private healthcare providers, who were shocked with the treatment and the lab test rate issued by the government, have sought an audience with Health Minister Eatala Rajender to explain their stand. The meeting is most likely to take place on Wednesday.
Members of the Telangana Super-specialty Hospitals Association are expected to brief the Minister about treatment costs and challenges they are facing while admitting the corona positive patients. "We could have been consulted as one of the stakeholders.
Recently, FICCI taskforce made recommendations regarding hospitalisation charges for Covid treatment in all States. This document could have given a clear understanding to the department before finalising charges," a member said.
The present charges of Rs 4,000 per day in isolation ward and Rs 7,500 per day in ICU ward and Rs 9,000 per day if put on ventilator is very low and hospitals would think twice before admitting all patients, the member felt, as hospitals are now having a low occupancy ratio due to corona effect already.
