Hyderabad: Prominent gynecologist Dr Sarojini said girls sensitised on personal hygiene
Hyderabad: Prominent gynecologist Dr Sarojini said that 3,000 'Swachh Beti' bags would be distributed to girl students. Awareness on personal hygiene for the girls aged between 12 and 18 years was also being done in a big way. Dr Sarojini, along with president of Rotary Club of Secunderabad Dr Prakash and Dr Padmini, explained about the activities taken up by them on behalf of the Rotary Club of Secunderabad West, such as Swachh Beti Mission here on Thursday. She also said they were creating awareness about use of napkins among the girls of government schools under the programme.
As part of the campaign, girls were asked to shun old practices of using cloth and keep sanitary pads in their school bags for use and keep diseases like uterus cancer away.
Dr Sarojini said she was personally getting some 3,000 Swachch Beti bags and distributing them among the girls. She also said she will be organizing more such awareness program for the benefit of growing girls.
Rotary Club of Secunderabad members RP Bhagwan Diwakar, Arpitha, Ravinder Rao, Vardhaman, Ravindranath Agarwal and others were present.
