Hyderabad:Residents of Malkajgiri irked over delay in pipeline works

Malkajgiri: The delay in completing pipeline works is causing severe inconvenience to the residents of Vasanthapur colony in Malkajgiri. The internal roads were dug out for laying underground drainage pipelines four months ago. Expressing disappointment over the delay, locals said that they have been facing hardships due to the bad roads. They condemned the indifference of local public representatives and officials concerned for the slow pace of work.

Nanda Kumar, a local, said that neither the local corporator nor GHMC officials cared to complete the works in time causing inconvenience to the motorists and pedestrians. Another resident Anjaneyulu, expressing ire on the callousness of officials and local corporator, said that they have not visited the colony even once in the last four months to enquire on the cause of delay and their problems. Maheshwari, colony resident, said that the school going children were finding it difficult to commute as the road was filled with sludge due to overflow of drainage water.
